Sony Pictures Animation’s Surf’s Up is riding a new wave to television, with Thunderbird Entertainment’s Atomic Cartoons developing Surf’s Up: The Series, a fresh animated take on the 2007 Oscar-nominated mockumentary film.
Geared toward kids aged 6–9, the show will feature 11-minute episodes following Flip, a confident teen penguin determined to become a surf legend alongside a quirky crew on Pen Gu Island.
Original characters like Cody, Big Z, and Chicken Joe will return, with the creative team behind The Guava Juice Show leading the adaptation.
