New Studio. New Shows…
2011 is shaping up to be a very busy year. Atomic Cartoons is currently producing a couple high-end shows that we're really thrilled about. In addition we're working on a super top secret project that is pushing us into some new and exciting animation territory. With a huge, talented pool of animators on tap we've added a team of super creative folks to our already experienced core group. Stay tuned for news on all their hard work very soon.
We've also added a few tools to our toolbox. Atomic has always been known as a high-end development, production and flash animation studio. We've recently added a complete ToonBoom Harmony crew to the mix. We've been impressed with improvements in the software over the last couple years and now we feel like we've got another great tool to produce an even higher level of world class animation.
To accommodate all this we've recently moved in to a new studio space. It is very similar to our old Davie Street studio, which at the time was great but too small to produce Atomic Betty and Captain Flamingo. Now we've moved into a really funky, open space that feels like animation. Lots of light, high ceilings and a great view of downtown Vancouver and the mountains. We've got room to move around and even the luxury of a full kitchen. Nice!
